Are you sometimes unsure about which shoe goes well with slim, jeggings or flared jeans? And do you sometimes wonder whether the jeans should be worn rolled up or not? Then you have come at the right place. In this article we will share our jeans expertise with you and hope you will enjoy reading the article!
One of the nice things about tapered jeans, is that they are so easy to style, because you can wear just about any shoe with this fit. For example, our Jasmin Slim looks great when worn with sandals, espadrilles, brogues or ankle boots.
Even super-slim jeggings can basically be worn with any shoe. Combined with brogues or high heels, you can create an elegant look in a flash. Those who prefer more comfort, put on a pair of sporty sneakers. These cool everyday companions make your outfit look wonderfully casual and contemporary, especially when worn with rolled up pant legs.
Our all-time favorite for the summer: Marlene! She is the optimal alternative for all of those who don't want to (or aren't permitted to) show up at the office in shorts or short skirts. The airy, wide leg makes a hot day at the office bearable. Of course, you wouldn't want to be without the right summer shoe. We can therefore recommend sandals in any form whatsoever. These can have straps, block heels or wedges! But please make sure they have a heel, so that the pants fall nicely.
Kick what?? Okay, to bring you up-to-date on the latest denim trends, here is a brief description of the super-trendy it-fit that all of us true jeans-lovers want this summer: the short, slightly flared Kick Flare has a 7/8 length and gives a sexy glimpse of ankle. This looks best when you wear shoes with a heel, to make your legs look longer despite the cropped form. Possible shoes could be sandals – or, such as shown on our model in the top right corner of the lookbook: pumps. For those who would rather not wear heels, we recommend open shoes like slip-ons or Gizehs.
For jeans that have straight legs, it is important that the pants are always worn over the shoe. Our Sissy Straight, for instance, looks great when worn with ankle boots with a small heel, which makes the leg look longer. But even brogues or loafers perfectly fit to straight jeans. The jeans then fall casually over the shoe even if the shaft is high or wide.
There are different types of shoes that are wonderful when worn with boyfriend jeans. By rolling up the hem, the pant leg of our tapered B-fit is shortened and looks great with sandals or loafers. Sneakers, on the other hand, emphasize the casual boyfriend style. Combined with brogues and a smart blouse, it presents the perfect day look for the office. But in summer, we would wear the jeans mostly with sandals or espadrilles.
The Flared should, just like the Jasmin Flared, fall over the shoe and end at the shoe's sole. Possibilities here are sandals, flip flops or espadrilles. For those who find their pants too long, heels are a suitable choice to avoid stepping on the hem of their flared jeans.
